‘Chalkley's’ is a self- contained apartment in the most historic
section The Old Bakery. Beautiful brick fireplaces and beamed
ceilings make for an atmospheric and charming holiday home, which
also benefits from elegant, contemporary bathrooms and kitchen.
‘Chalkley's’ consists of a comfortably furnished living room with
internet access and TV; a dining room with large fireplace and
beautiful, 17th century, exposed brick wall; a modern, well-equipped
kitchen (1st floor) with washing machine, oven, hob and
fridge-freezer; two double bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities.
One bedroom has a king-size double bed and en-suite shower
room/toilet. The other bedroom has two single beds. This
bedroom’s en-suite bathroom has a bath with over-bath shower.
Bedlinen and towels are provided and laundered for you weekly. A
weekly 2-hour clean is included in the price of stays of two or more
weeks.
Please note that the staircase is typical of houses of this age, in
that it is quite narrow and steeper than modern staircases.
